4. Financial Information and GLBA Notice
Because BOOKWISE INC. provides bookkeeping and accounting services, we are considered a “financial institution” for purposes of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and the Federal Trade Commission’s Safeguards Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 314). This means:

5. Payment Processing
BOOKWISE INC. uses Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”) to process payments for our services, including credit and debit card payments and ACH bank transfers. When you pay an invoice or payment link, your payment information is entered directly on Stripe’s secure platform. BOOKWISE does not collect, see, or store your full card number or bank account login or payment credentials. This applies to payments you make to us. It is separate from the business financial records you share with us so we can perform bookkeeping services, which are covered in Sections 1 and 4.
Information we receive from Stripe about your payment may include your name, email address, billing address, the amount and date of the payment, the payment method type, the last four digits of your card or account, and the status of the transaction. We use this information to process payments, send invoices and receipts, keep financial and tax records, prevent fraud, and resolve payment disputes.
Stripe processes your information under its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. Stripe may also use your information to detect and prevent fraud and to meet its legal and regulatory obligations. We encourage you to review Stripe’s policy.
We do not sell your payment information. We share it only with Stripe and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy.
